Day 1 – Welcome to Calabria – Arrival & Seaside Aperitivo
Upon arrival at Lamezia Terme Airport, a private transfer will take you to your
accommodation at Hotel Rada Siri in Montepaone, nestled just a few minutes from the Ionian Sea.
After checking in and settling into your rooms, you’ll have a moment to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
In the early evening, we’ll head to nearby Soverato — one of the jewels of the Ionian coast — for a special apericena at Brezza Fish & Chill, the stylish beachfront restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Luca Abbruzzino. Here, you’ll enjoy a laid-back yet refined culinary experience, where fresh local ingredients meet creative flair, all set against the backdrop of the sea. Afterwards, you can either return to the hotel to rest or choose to linger a little longer in Soverato.
Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the lively promenade, grab an artisanal gelato, or sip a cocktail at one of the many seaside bars — the evening is yours to savor at your own pace.
Day 2: Cooking Class & Free Time
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll head inland to visit a local Calabrian flour mill, where you’ll discover how regional grains are processed and gain insight into one of the essential elements of Calabrian cuisine.
Next, we’ll meet the beloved “Official Nonna of Calabria Food Fest 2026.” She’ll guide us through an interactive pasta-making class, sharing her family’s techniques and stories as we learn how to shape traditional Calabrian pasta by hand.
After the workshop, we’ll enjoy a generous and rustic lunch at Agriturismo Fassi, a welcoming countryside estate that also features a small petting zoo — the perfect spot
to relax and enjoy a taste of rural life.
Following lunch, we’ll return to the hotel.
The rest of the afternoon is free time: relax by the sea, go for a swim, or browse the shops at your own pace.
Dinner is at your leisure, and we’ll be happy to recommend restaurants based on your cravings. Afterward, enjoy a peaceful walk along the promenade, grab a gelato, sip a cocktail, or simply return to the hotel to unwind.
Day 3 - From the farm to the table
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a visit to a nearby family-run farm, nestled in the Calabrian hills.
Here, you’ll witness the traditional production of ricotta cheese, and delight in a rare treat: fresh, warm ricotta, served right after it’s made.
Following this experience, we’ll enjoy a rustic and heartfelt lunch, featuring homemade dishes prepared with zero-kilometer ingredients — everything grown or raised on the farm, embodying authentic flavor and culinary simplicity.
In the afternoon, we return to Soverato, where you’ll have free time to relax at your own pace—whether by the sea, at the hotel, or exploring nearby.
For those interested, an optional excursion to the nearby village of Squillace is available. Here, you can meet local artisan families, keepers of a centuries-old ceramic tradition passed down from generation to generation—an understated but meaningful encounter with Calabria’s rich cultural heritage.
Dinner is at your leisure this evening. We will be happy to recommend a variety of excellent local restaurants based on your preferences—whether you’re craving seafood, traditional Calabrian fare, or a cozy family trattoria.
Day 4 - Flavors, Markets & Seaside Leisure in Soverato
Start your day with a rich and relaxing breakfast at the hotel, enjoying a variety of local products and fresh delights.
In the morning, explore the lively typical market of Soverato, where locals gather to shop for seasonal produce, traditional foods, and handcrafted goods. It’s a vibrant and authentic way to experience Calabrian culture up close.
Lunch is at your leisure—feel free to choose from one of the many casual spots along the promenade or opt for a light bite with sea views.
The afternoon is free for you to enjoy Soverato at your own pace : relax on the beach, do some shopping, or take part in optional seaside fitness activities, such as beach walking or light exercise in the sea.
In the late afternoon, return to your room to freshen up and change.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll gather for an elegant dinner at Blu70, an unforgettable venue nestled among the rocks with a breathtaking view over the Gulf of Squillace.
Expect refined cuisine, a magical atmosphere, and a beautiful final memory by the sea.
After dinner, return to the hotel — or, for those who want to keep the night going,
Soverato’s vibrant nightlife is just getting started.
Day 5: Calabria Food Fest - II Edition
Start your day with a rich and relaxing breakfast at the hotel.
Spend the morning at your leisure on the beautiful beach of Soverato, a coastal gem on the Ionian Sea. Whether you choose to take a dip in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the calm seaside ambiance, it’s the perfect setting for a slow, rejuvenating start.
Lunch is at your leisure — we’ll be happy to recommend the perfect spot based on what you’re in the mood for, whether it’s fresh seafood, traditional Calabrian dishes, or a light bite by the sea.
After lunch, return to the hotel for some rest and to prepare for the evening’s special event.
At 7:00 PM, we’ll travel to the Castello di Squillace to take part in the Second Edition of the Calabria Food Fest — an exclusive, invitation-only event celebrating the region’s gastronomic excellence.
You’ll enjoy live show-cooking by renowned chefs, tastings of traditional Calabrian products, and a festive atmosphere within the castle’s stunning historic setting.
It’s a unique opportunity to experience the true spirit of Calabria through its food, culture, and warm hospitality.
Day 6: Calabria Food Fest - Gala Dinner
The morning is yours to enjoy at your own pace — whether you prefer lounging on the beach, taking a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear Ionian Sea, or simply soaking up the Mediterranean sun. It’s the perfect way to relax, recharge, and reflect on the journey so far.
Lunch is at your leisure, giving you the freedom to explore local flavors on your own or enjoy a light, casual meal by the sea. We’re happy to recommend the best spots based on your cravings.
In the afternoon, we return to the hotel to rest and get ready for the grand finale of our trip: the Gala Dinner at the Castello di Squillace, the culminating moment of the Calabria Food Fest – Second Edition.
At 7:00 PM, we’ll depart for the castle, where an unforgettable evening awaits — with exceptional food, fine wines, and a festive, elegant atmosphere shared among new friends.
Surrounded by centuries of history and overlooking the Ionian coast, we’ll toast to the memories made and the incredible flavors of Calabria — closing this adventure in true style.
Day 7 – Relax and Tropea
After breakfast, take some time to relax before departing for Tropea with a stop in Pizzo Calabro to taste the famous tartufo gelato, a specialty of the town.
Arriving in Tropea, check into your hotel.
In the evening, visit the Masicei Vineyard with a tasting of local products and enjoy a splendid sunset in the pearl of the Tyrrhenian Sea, Tropea.
Day 8 – Arrivederci Calabria!
After a week filled with flavours, friendships, and memories, it’s time to say farewell—but not goodbye.
With hearts full and suitcases richer with stories, guests leave Calabria with the promise to return. Because here, every goodbye is just a new beginning.
